The Philippine Coast Guard announced the seizure on Thursday, revealing that the high-grade marijuana, commonly referred to as "kush," was hidden aboard the Sailing Yacht Lindsy during an inspection at the freeport facility in Olongapo City.
The discovery marks a significant drug interdiction operation at the Subic Bay area, one of the country's major maritime zones. The PCG's boarding team uncovered the illegal narcotics while conducting standard procedures at the Subic Bay Yacht Club, which operates within the jurisdiction of the Subic Bay Freeport.
