Coca-Cola's Indian bottler files IPO papers for ₹997.5 crore fundraise

Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCH), the Indian bottling arm of the global beverage giant, has filed a draft red herring prospectus with market regulator SEBI for its initial public offering. The company proposes to issue up to 997.5 million shares through the IPO process.

The proposed public offering will be structured entirely as an offer for sale by promoter Hindustan Coca-Cola Overseas Holdings, with no fresh capital being raised for the company itself. This means the proceeds from the share sale will go to the existing promoter rather than being deployed for company expansion or debt reduction.

FY26 financial results show HCCH generated ₹11,663 crore in revenue, demonstrating the substantial scale of India's largest Coca-Cola bottling operation. The company's filing with SEBI sets in motion the regulatory approval process required before the bottler can proceed to public markets.

The IPO marks a strategic move by Coca-Cola to unlock value from its Indian bottling operations and provide liquidity to promoter shareholders. HCCH's listing would add another significant FMCG player to India's stock exchange.
