Cochin Airport expands horizons with new aviation consultancy arm

CIAL has established a dedicated division called Aviation Consultancy and Expert Services (ACES) to offer specialized advisory services to airports and aviation industry players nationwide. The new consultancy will draw on the company's proven track record in airport planning, development, and operations to serve clients across the country.

Keralese Chief Minister V D Satheesan endorsed the initiative at CIAL's 32nd Annual General Meeting, stating that the company's technical expertise and operational experience positioned it well to provide high-quality consultancy services. He emphasized that the move would unlock additional revenue streams while establishing CIAL as a knowledge partner within India's aviation sector.

ACES will offer services spanning airport planning and development, runway construction, cargo operations optimization, ground handling solutions, and commercial activity management. The consultancy is designed to assist airports and stakeholders seeking to enhance operational efficiency and infrastructure quality.

Shareholders at the AGM approved a 55 per cent dividend distribution, reflecting CIAL's financial performance. The diversification into consultancy services represents a strategic shift for the airport operator, leveraging its operational capabilities beyond Cochin International Airport itself.
