Cognizant, Google Cloud deepen tie-up to scale agentic AI solutions

Cognizant and Google Cloud have broadened their strategic partnership to advance the deployment of agentic AI across enterprises, with the establishment of a new 'Gemini Frontier Capability Group'. The dedicated unit will combine Google's enterprise-grade AI platform capabilities with Cognizant's deep domain expertise and engineering prowess to develop production-ready AI solutions.

The Gemini Frontier Capability Group represents a significant joint investment and builds on momentum from Cognizant's dedicated Gemini practice, which was launched in April 2026. The group will be staffed by more than 18,000 Cognizant associates working as a unified global workforce to advance frontier AI applications across industries.

The partnership is structured to bridge the critical gap between pilot projects and full-scale production deployment. By combining Google's full-stack AI platform with Cognizant's industry-specific knowledge, the group aims to help enterprises safely implement resilient, enterprise-grade AI agents that can deliver measurable business outcomes. The initiative addresses a key challenge for organizations seeking to move agentic AI beyond proof-of-concept stages into operational environments.
