The Colombo Stock Exchange closed higher on Friday, extending gains through the shortened trading week. The All Share Price Index advanced 43.21 points to finish at 21,322.86, while the S&P SL20 benchmark climbed 0.34 percent, gaining 20.37 points to settle at 6,015.18.
Market activity remained subdued with total turnover reaching 2.2 billion rupees. The modest trading volumes reflected typical end-of-week patterns as investors squared positions ahead of the weekend.
