ComfortDelGro has announced a commission waiver for taxi drivers impacted by a terminal outage that disrupted operations earlier this month. The initiative aims to offset losses incurred by drivers during the service disruption.
The commission waiver will apply to all trips made from noon on September 25 through 11.59 am on September 27, covering a 48-hour window. This period was selected to provide relief to drivers whose earnings were affected by the earlier system failure.
The September 15 outage disrupted taxi terminal operations, preventing drivers from efficiently dispatching and managing bookings. ComfortDelGro's decision to waive commissions during the specified dates represents compensation for the operational challenges drivers faced during that period.
Drivers operating under the ComfortDelGro network will automatically benefit from the waiver with no additional action required. The company said the measure underscores its commitment to supporting its driver community during operational disruptions.
