COTABATO CITY — Government troops stopped a Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) convoy in Kolambugan, Lanao del Norte, Wednesday morning due to miscommunication and inadequate coordination between military units. The Lanao del Norte 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company and the Army's 52nd Mechanized Company, operating under the 5th Mechanized Infantry "Kaagapay" Battalion, conducted the checkpoint without prior notice to other deployed forces in the area.
