Congress accuses BJP of using agencies to coerce Rajasthan councillors

Congress leader Tikaram Jully has levelled serious allegations against the BJP, claiming the party is instrumentalizing government agencies to coerce elected councillors in Rajasthan. According to Jully, councillors have faced interference, harassment and intimidation as urban local body boards prepare for elections.

Jully's allegations centre on alleged pressure tactics being deployed against councillors to influence their voting patterns and political allegiances ahead of the board polls. The Congress leader contended that several councillors were stopped and harassed by officials, with some reportedly receiving threats to compel their compliance.
