Congress demands transparency on IIT student suicide data

The Congress party has escalated its scrutiny of the Union government's handling of data related to student suicides at premier engineering institutions. Party representatives cited research findings indicating that more than 50 per cent of students who died by suicide at IITs over the past five years were from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes communities.
