Congress leader Ajay Ray apologizes for Lucknow office altercation

Ajay Ray sought forgiveness on Tuesday for an altercation that took place at the Congress party office in Lucknow, offering a public apology for any misconduct by his associates. Speaking to reporters, Ray said that if members of his team had behaved disrespectfully or used abusive language toward anyone, he took personal responsibility and sought their pardon.

Ray's apology came days after he was removed from his post as state Congress president. However, he appeared unbothered by the demotion, describing it as a routine aspect of political life. "In politics, nothing is permanent," Ray remarked, indicating his acceptance of the organizational decision.

Despite his removal from the state leadership position, Ray reiterated his ambitions within the party. He expressed his long-standing aspiration to represent Varanasi as a Member of Parliament, describing the prospect as a cherished dream. Ray's comments suggest he intends to remain active within Congress ranks despite the recent setback in his political trajectory.
