LSN Philippines ·

Police units operating across the Cordillera region conducted a coordinated crackdown on illegal drug activities from October 26 to November 1, resulting in the seizure of narcotics valued at over P110 million. The Police Regional Office-Cordillera (PRO-CAR) coordinated 14 separate operations during the week-long campaign, targeting multiple drug distribution networks across the mountainous region.
The enforcement drive included seven marijuana eradication operations targeting cultivation sites, alongside targeted arrest operations against suspected drug personalities. Six individuals were taken into custody in connection with drug trafficking offenses discovered during the campaign. Authorities did not disclose additional details regarding the nature of the seized substances or identities of those arrested.
The operation reflects ongoing efforts by regional police to combat the proliferation of illegal drugs in the Cordillera, one of the Philippines' key agricultural regions. Law enforcement agencies have intensified anti-narcotics initiatives across the country in recent months as part of a broader campaign against drug-related criminal activity.
The PRO-CAR did not provide information on whether additional charges or further investigations are ongoing related to the week-long operation.
