KUALA LUMPUR — Miss Asia Malaysia 2023 winner Luwe Xin Hui can proceed with enforcing a court order to claim her RM1.48 million condominium prize after the High Court rejected a bid to postpone the enforcement.

The court's decision removes a significant legal hurdle that had prevented the pageant winner from obtaining the residential property, which was part of her prize package. The ruling came after arguments that further delays were unwarranted given the circumstances of the case.

The judgment underscores the court's position that the prize winner has already waited sufficiently and should not face additional postponements in claiming what she has legitimately won. Legal representatives for the winner had argued that continued delays would be prejudicial to their client's interests.

With the High Court's decision, Luwe can now move forward with the necessary steps to take possession of the condominium unit and complete the prize fulfillment process. The case had previously wound through the courts, with earlier judgments favouring the pageant winner's entitlement to the property.
