Court dismisses bid to stay defamation payout owed by Papagomo

KUALA LUMPUR — The High Court has dismissed Papagomo's attempt to stay a defamation judgment requiring him to pay RM280,000 to Penang DAP Secretary-General Lim Guan Eng and his son. The ruling clears the way for enforcement of the damages award against the online personality, who has been involved in various legal disputes in recent years.
The application for a stay of execution was rejected by the court, which found insufficient grounds to suspend the enforcement of the defamation judgment.
