Court dismisses businessman's defamation claim against GIIB Holdings director

Lim Kok Han's defamation suit has failed after the appellate court determined he could not establish that Tai Boon Wee, a director of GIIB Holdings Bhd, was responsible for publishing or distributing police reports containing allegations of an armed threat.
The Court of Appeal's decision comes after Lim pursued legal action based on claims that the reports had damaged his reputation. However, the court found the evidence presented insufficient to prove Tai's involvement in the circulation of the disputed documents.
