Court dismisses Na'imah's legal challenge to government toppling probe

The High Court has ruled against Na'imah Osman and her two sons in their bid to stop the probe into accusations they were involved in activities aimed at toppling the government. Justice Mohd Nazlan Mohd Ghazali dismissed their legal challenge after finding no grounds to suggest the investigation was being conducted improperly or with ulterior motives. The judge's decision allows the authorities to continue their inquiries without legal impediment. Na'imah, who previously served as federal territories minister, along with her sons, had sought to halt the investigation by arguing it was being pursued in bad faith. However, the court determined that the investigating authorities had followed proper procedures and maintained the integrity of their probe. The ruling paves the way for investigators to proceed with their examination of the allegations without further legal obstacles from the applicants.
