PUTRAJAYA — The Court of Appeal on Wednesday allowed the prosecution's application to stay proceedings in the hearing concerning additional evidence in Rosmah's case, pending the outcome of her Federal Court appeal.

The decision effectively postpones the additional evidence hearing until the higher court determines whether to hear Rosmah's appeal application. The prosecution had sought the stay to prevent the lower court proceedings from advancing while the matter remains under consideration at the apex court.

Rosmah is currently contesting earlier court decisions and has escalated the matter to the Federal Court, Malaysia's highest judicial authority. The stay granted by the Court of Appeal ensures that no further proceedings will occur in the additional evidence hearing until the Federal Court resolves the appeal application.

The case continues to draw significant attention as it involves multiple layers of judicial consideration and procedural complexities surrounding the admissibility and handling of additional evidence.
