Court to Rule on Maritime Network's RHB Bank Account Freeze

Maritime Network has sought court intervention to halt RHB Bank's attempt to shut down two of its accounts, pending the full resolution of a broader legal dispute between the shipping firm and the financial institution.

The company filed for an injunction to freeze the bank's decision, arguing that closing the accounts would prejudice its position while the main lawsuit is still being heard. The application aims to maintain the status quo of the accounts until the substantive case is concluded.

According to court documents, RHB Bank had initiated moves to close Maritime Network's accounts, prompting the shipping company to escalate the matter to the judiciary. The injunction request seeks to prevent any further action by the bank pending the outcome of the full legal proceedings.

The High Court is scheduled to deliver its ruling on the injunction application on October 23. The decision will determine whether Maritime Network's accounts will remain operational during the pendency of the larger dispute with RHB Bank.
