CPI(M) Kerala to tackle grassroots organisational issues directly

The Communist Party of India (Marxist) in Kerala is moving to directly confront organisational issues at the grassroots level, according to State Secretary M.V. Govindan. The party leadership has identified pressing problems that require immediate intervention and course correction.

Govindan underscored the urgent need to reform the conduct and demeanour of certain party leaders, citing concerns about their conversational approaches and overall functioning. The State committee views these behavioural patterns as impediments to effective party work and internal cohesion.

The CPI(M)'s initiative reflects growing recognition within the party apparatus that sustained organisational strength depends on maintaining standards of discipline and professionalism across all levels of leadership. The Kerala State committee plans to take a hands-on approach in addressing these issues rather than leaving them to regional party structures.

This move comes as the party seeks to strengthen its organisational foundation and ensure that party workers and cadres maintain the behavioural standards expected of communist leaders. The direct involvement of the State committee signals the seriousness with which the CPI(M) is treating these internal matters.
