CPI(M) to skip TVK's second coalition meeting on September 9

The CPI(M) has announced it will not attend the second round of talks convened by the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (TVK) to discuss matters concerning the coalition of parties supporting the regional outfit, according to party spokesperson Shanmugam. Last week, a high-level delegation comprising Ministers N. Anand, Aadhav Arjuna, C.T.R Nirmal Kumar and Rajmohan visited the offices of Left parties in the state to invite them to the upcoming meeting. The CPI(M)'s decision to abstain from the September 9 gathering marks a significant development in the political dynamics of Tamil Nadu's post-election alliance structure. The reasons cited by the party for its non-participation were not immediately disclosed.
