Crisil upgrades Metropolis Healthcare outlook on strong growth momentum

Crisil Ratings lifted its outlook on Metropolis Healthcare's long-term bank facilities and non-convertible debentures to 'positive', reflecting confidence in the company's operational trajectory. The agency simultaneously maintained its 'Crisil AA-' rating while reaffirming the short-term bank facility rating at 'Crisil A1+'.

The outlook upgrade signals Crisil's expectation of improved organic revenue growth, stronger profitability metrics, and enhanced cash generation for the diagnostic services provider. The rating action also reflects optimism about the turnaround performance of Core Diagnostics Pvt Ltd, which Metropolis acquired in recent months.

Metropolis Healthcare reported revenue of Rs 1,646 crore in FY26, representing 24 per cent year-on-year growth, buoyed by higher patient volumes and expanded offerings under its 'TruHealth' brand focused on specialised diagnostics and wellness services. Crisil expects the company's expanding laboratory footprint to drive continued revenue momentum.

The agency anticipates sustained operating margin strength over the medium term, supported by better capacity utilisation across the expanded network, an improved diagnostic test mix, and improved profitability at the recently acquired Core Diagnostics operations. These factors collectively underpin Crisil's more optimistic assessment of the company's financial performance trajectory.
