CTC Travel alerts public to impersonation scams targeting senior citizens

CTC Travel has issued a public alert after uncovering a coordinated impersonation scheme targeting senior citizens with offers of discounted all-inclusive holiday packages. The company said it received multiple reports from customers and members of the public about fraudulent advertisements circulating online that falsely claimed to represent CTC Travel.

According to the company, the scammers have been using CTC Travel's branding, logos, and images without authorisation to advertise approximately 20 travel packages marketed specifically at older travellers. These packages were presented as heavily discounted offerings, designed to entice seniors seeking affordable holiday deals.

The company has advised the public to exercise caution when booking travel online and to verify any offers directly with CTC Travel through its official channels. Consumers should be wary of unsolicited travel offers and check that booking websites are legitimate before providing personal or financial information.

Senior citizens and their families are encouraged to report any suspicious travel advertisements or communications claiming to represent CTC Travel to the company directly, as well as to local consumer protection authorities. The impersonation scam underscores the broader risk of fraud targeting older members of the population who may be less familiar with online verification methods.
