Cyclone Arnab has prompted a major evacuation operation across Odisha, with state authorities relocating more than 55,000 residents from vulnerable areas across nine districts. The state Disaster Management Ministry has coordinated the large-scale response to minimize casualties and protect communities in the storm's path.

According to Suresh Pujari, the State Disaster Management Minister, a comprehensive disaster response apparatus has been activated to manage the crisis. The operation involves 313 teams deployed across the affected region, including nine units from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), 60 teams from the Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF), and 244 personnel from local disaster management agencies.

The multi-agency response reflects the state government's preparedness in handling the cyclonic threat. Relief camps have been established to accommodate evacuated families, with provisions for food, water, and medical assistance being coordinated by district administrations. Rescue and relief operations continue as meteorological agencies monitor the cyclone's trajectory and intensity.

Odisha, situated on India's eastern coast, remains vulnerable to cyclonic storms during monsoon seasons. Authorities have urged residents in coastal and low-lying areas to remain alert and follow official warnings and evacuation orders to ensure their safety during the adverse weather conditions.
