The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has indicated that weather conditions over the Bay of Bengal are favourable for cyclone development within the next few days, prompting meteorologists to closely monitor the system's progression.
Coastal regions of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha are on high alert as the IMD projects extremely heavy to heavy rainfall across these states between October 27 and 29. Authorities have advised residents and maritime stakeholders in these areas to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions.
The weather warning comes as monsoon systems continue to impact the eastern seaboard. Fishermen have been advised against venturing into deep waters during the forecast period, while state disaster management authorities are coordinating with local agencies to ensure preparedness.
The IMD is expected to issue updated forecasts as the system develops, with specific predictions regarding the cyclone's intensity, track, and landfall timing. Residents are advised to monitor official weather bulletins and follow guidance from state disaster management authorities.
