Cyient DLM Ltd, the design and lifecycle management services division of the broader Cyient group, logged Rs 393 crore in quarterly revenue during the July-September period, marking a substantial increase from the prior year period. The expansion reflects strong demand for digital engineering and lifecycle management services across key client verticals.

Profitability, however, has contracted as the company grapples with cost pressures and operational challenges. EBITDA margin narrowed to 8.7% in the second quarter, compared with 10.1% in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year. The compression suggests elevated costs, likely linked to inflation, talent acquisition expenses, and strategic investments in capability building.

Despite near-term margin pressures, Cyient DLM has strengthened its forward revenue pipeline substantially. The company's order book reached an all-time high of Rs 2,813.7 crore, signalling robust demand visibility for forthcoming quarters and underpinning confidence in sustained growth trajectory.

The order book expansion indicates client confidence in the company's capabilities across digital engineering, product design, and lifecycle services. Industry observers view the record backlog as a critical metric for predictable revenue growth, though the company's ability to convert order momentum into improved margins will remain a focal point for investors.
