Cyrix Healthcare acquires Blue Star E&E's medical technology business
Cyrix Healthcare, backed by Somerset Indus Capital Partners Fund III, has acquired the MedTech Solutions division of Blue Star Engineering & Electronics Ltd, strengthening its medical imaging portfolio across India, West Asia, and Africa.

The acquisition, effective September 1, 2026, will integrate Blue Star E&E's established expertise in multi-brand CT and MRI systems into Cyrix's expanding platform. Blue Star E&E operates more than 250 installations across the region, offering comprehensive sales, installation, and maintenance services for advanced diagnostic imaging equipment.
Cyrix Healthcare plans to leverage the acquisition to enhance its "total MedTech management" platform, consolidating offerings across key markets. The company said existing customers of Blue Star E&E MedTech Solutions will continue receiving support from the same service teams, ensuring continuity of operations.
The transaction will also strengthen AURUM, Cyrix's refurbished medical equipment business line. By absorbing Blue Star E&E's infrastructure and capabilities, Cyrix aims to expand its capacity to handle refurbished CT and MRI systems, addressing demand for cost-effective diagnostic imaging solutions in developing markets.
Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed. The acquisition underscores growing consolidation in India's medical technology sector, as larger platform companies seek to build comprehensive service ecosystems across diagnostic imaging and equipment management.
