DA Distributes P6.6M in Farm Equipment to Valencia City, Bukidnon Farmers

VALENCIA CITY, Bukidnon — The Department of Agriculture (DA) Region 10 office has formally turned over farming equipment valued at approximately P6.6 million to Valencia City's municipal government and local farmers' organizations, officials announced this week.
The equipment distribution, formalized through a memorandum of agreement signed by DA-10 Regional Director Jose Apollo Pacamalan and Valencia City Vice Mayor Greizl Galario-Fernandez, represents part of the national government's ongoing efforts to strengthen agricultural capabilities in Mindanao.
The machinery and tools are expected to support mechanization initiatives across farming operations in the city, potentially increasing crop yields and reducing production costs for smallholder farmers and agricultural cooperatives in the area.
Valencia City, located in Bukidnon province, is home to numerous farming communities that depend primarily on agriculture for their economic sustenance. The equipment assistance aligns with the DA's broader regional strategy to modernize farming practices and boost rural incomes across Northern Mindanao.
