ILAGAN CITY, Isabela — Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. has thrown his support behind a proposal to utilize excess corn supplies for bioethanol production, targeting support for farming communities across Cagayan Valley.
Laurel outlined the initiative during remarks delivered at the 19th Regional Corn Congress held at the Capital Arena, emphasizing the potential benefits for the region's agricultural sector. Cagayan Valley stands among the country's most significant corn-producing areas, making it an ideal location for the proposed bioethanol program.
