DANGCAGAN, Bukidnon — Hundreds of residents and visitors converged on the municipal public plaza Saturday to enjoy free durian during the closing festivities of Dangcagan's 18th Durian Festival.
The municipality distributed freshly opened durian from local farms to attendees throughout the day, offering residents and tourists alike an opportunity to sample the region's signature produce at no cost.
The festival, which has become an annual tradition for the Bukidnon town, showcases durian farming as a key agricultural activity in the municipality. The giveaway served as the main draw for the festival's final day celebrations.
Dangcagan also marked its 65th founding anniversary during the festival period, combining the commemorative occasion with its established durian promotion efforts.
