DAP lawmaker endorses Anwar's Myanmar refugee diplomacy push

Lim Lip Eng, a DAP member of parliament, has backed efforts by the government to work through diplomatic channels with Myanmar to address the regional refugee situation, saying such engagement offers Malaysia a meaningful platform to influence Yangon's policies.
According to Lim, maintaining dialogue with the Myanmar government creates an important avenue for Malaysia to press Yangon to accept greater responsibility for displaced persons and to establish safeguards for those returning to the country.
