Daryz claims historic back-to-back Arc de Triomphe victories

Daryz secured his second consecutive Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe title at Longchamp on Sunday, defeating rival Bay City Roller in a thrilling encounter that marks a milestone achievement in European horse racing. The victory makes Daryz the first colt to claim back-to-back wins in the prestigious French classic in nearly half a century, a rare feat that underscores the exceptional quality of the four-year-old's performances.

The Arc de Triomphe, one of Europe's most coveted turf racing titles, attracts the continent's finest thoroughbreds each autumn. Daryz's repeat victory demonstrates sustained excellence at the highest level of the sport, with the colt maintaining peak form across two consecutive seasons.

The win caps a successful campaign for Daryz and reinforces his status as one of the dominant racehorses of his generation. His achievement is particularly notable given the intense competition presented by Bay City Roller and other elite contenders in the field.

Historians of the sport note that such consecutive Arc victories have become increasingly rare, with the last colt to accomplish the feat having done so roughly 45 years prior. Daryz's success has solidified his legacy as a champion and a worthy member of racing's pantheon of great performers.
