QUEZON CITY — The Department of Agriculture Regional Office 11 (DA-11) in Davao Region unveiled its 'Kadiwa on Wheels' mobile produce display at its main office here on Tuesday, signaling the start of an organized push to market Mindanao's agricultural products in Metro Manila.
The initiative showcases a variety of premium tropical fruits cultivated in Davao Region, including durian, mangosteen, pomelo, and other locally grown produce. The mobile display is designed to bring fresh regional products closer to urban consumers while supporting farmers and agricultural enterprises in Davao.
The 'Kadiwa on Wheels' program aligns with the Department of Agriculture's broader efforts to strengthen agricultural marketing channels and increase farmer incomes through direct consumer engagement. The campaign is expected to continue operating throughout Metro Manila in the coming weeks.
Davao Region remains one of the country's leading agricultural producers, with tropical fruits among its primary exports and domestic market commodities. The initiative represents a strategic effort to expand market reach and brand awareness for the region's agricultural output among metropolitan consumers.
