DBS PayLah! expands into Taiwan with 250,000 merchant partners

DBS PayLah! users travelling to Taiwan will now be able to make contactless payments at more than 250,000 participating merchants across the country, the bank announced. The expansion allows Singaporeans to leverage their existing mobile wallet for everyday transactions during visits to Taiwan, from retail outlets to dining establishments.

The move reflects growing demand for seamless cross-border payment solutions in Southeast Asia and beyond. By extending PayLah!'s reach into Taiwan, DBS is enabling its users to travel lighter while maintaining convenient access to digital payment methods familiar to them.

The integration into Taiwan's merchant ecosystem positions PayLah! alongside other regional payment platforms seeking to capture the growing travel and remittance market. For Singaporean visitors, the expanded service eliminates the need to carry multiple payment methods or withdraw local currency for routine purchases.

DBS has progressively expanded PayLah!'s international footprint as digital wallets become increasingly central to travel experiences across Asia. The Taiwan rollout underscores the bank's commitment to building an interconnected payment network serving its customer base beyond Singapore's borders.
