DBS Bank has committed S$1 million toward distributing over 500,000 N95 masks to vulnerable populations across Singapore, including elderly residents and migrant workers. The initiative represents the lender's latest effort to bolster public health resilience among at-risk communities.
Beyond mask distribution, DBS will provide air purifiers to selected social agency partners and participating senior citizens, enhancing indoor air quality in community spaces and residential settings. The air purification component targets locations frequented by vulnerable groups, particularly those with heightened susceptibility to respiratory illnesses.
The programme underscores growing corporate attention to pandemic preparedness and occupational health protections for migrant workers, who often face heightened exposure risks. Social agencies partnering in the initiative will play a key role in identifying beneficiaries and coordinating mask and equipment distribution to ensure resources reach intended recipients.
DBS joins other Singapore-based financial and corporate entities in mobilising resources for community health protection. The initiative aligns with broader efforts to strengthen healthcare access and preventive measures among economically disadvantaged and elderly populations.
