De Zerbi's Tottenham outfit heads into the weekend fixture desperately seeking their first league victory of the campaign, with pressure mounting on the Italian manager to turn around their domestic performance. The clash at Old Trafford represents a crucial opportunity for the club to gain traction in what has been a disappointing start to their season.
The Spurs boss has emphasized the importance of character and mentality as his team looks to prove their worth against one of the league's traditional powerhouses. De Zerbi believes that how his players respond to adversity will be a defining factor in whether they can break their winless run.
Saturday's encounter comes at a critical juncture for Tottenham, with the manager seeking signs of improvement both in performance and results. A positive response at Old Trafford would provide the platform from which the club could begin to rebuild confidence and momentum in their bid for a competitive finish to the season.
Manchester United will provide stern opposition, but De Zerbi's message to his squad is clear: the time for excuses has passed, and the focus must now turn entirely to delivering the kind of display that can yield a positive result in the coming days.
