Death toll mounts to 12 in Madhya Pradesh spurious liquor tragedy

A spurious liquor case in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh has claimed 12 lives, triggering a major crackdown by law enforcement agencies in the region. The deaths have sparked widespread concern over the illicit alcohol trade and its deadly consequences for consumers across the state.

Police have filed multiple First Information Reports (FIRs) in connection with the incident, naming 30 individuals accused of involvement in the manufacture and distribution of counterfeit liquor. So far, authorities have arrested 14 of the accused persons, while search operations continue for the remaining 16 suspects.
