The legal action centers on posts published on X (formerly Twitter) on September 16, 2026, in both English and Marathi. According to the notice, the posts contained defamatory content that falsely accused Saliyan of acting with political motives and personal enmity.
The notice represents an escalation in a dispute that has drawn significant public attention. Saliyan's legal team contends that the published statements damaged his reputation and caused considerable harm. The matter has yet to proceed to formal litigation.
