Dehradun plumber arrested for killing elderly couple and domestic worker

Authorities in Dehradun have taken a plumber into custody following the deaths of an elderly couple and their domestic worker in what investigators believe was a violent dispute over unpaid wages. The arrests marks a significant development in the triple homicide case that shocked the Uttarakhand capital.

The suspect, identified as a plumber who had been engaged to carry out work at the couple's residence, allegedly turned violent when a payment disagreement escalated. Police said the accused used a screwdriver to carry out the attack, resulting in the deaths of both the elderly homeowners and their live-in domestic help.

Detectives moved swiftly to apprehend the suspect after initial investigations pointed to the accused's involvement in the crimes. The motive behind the killings appears to have centered on a financial dispute related to unpaid fees for plumbing services rendered at the residence.

The case has drawn attention to workplace disputes and the vulnerability of domestic workers in the region. Police have registered a murder case and further investigations are underway to establish the complete sequence of events that led to the triple homicide. The accused is expected to be produced before a magistrate for formal charges.
