The Delhi poll authority has processed roughly 100,000 Form 6 applications as part of its ongoing effort to address voter deletion requests, officials confirmed. Form 6 applications enable citizens to challenge existing voter registrations on the electoral roll. A total of 456,913 such applications were submitted through October 20, indicating substantial public engagement with the voter verification process. The applications arrived in two distinct phases. The first batch comprised 212,400 submissions received by August 30, followed by a significantly larger influx of 244,513 applications between August 31 and October 20. The two-phase pattern suggests heightened awareness or administrative activity during the second period. While the commission has disposed of approximately one-quarter of the total applications received, a substantial backlog of over 350,000 requests remains pending. Election officials have not provided a timeline for clearing the remaining applications or detailed breakdowns of the decisions made on the processed cases. The disposal rate indicates the administrative burden facing the poll body as it manages the large volume of voter-related petitions.
