Delhi's election commission has finalized verification procedures for numerous high-profile individuals flagged during the Systematic Voters' Rolls Inspection drive, clearing the way for their names to appear in the final voter list.
According to election officials, the field verification process for prominent voters including former BJP leader L.K. Advani, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, Rekha Gupta, and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been completed. All have been confirmed for inclusion in the final electoral register, officials said.
The SIR initiative, aimed at identifying and addressing anomalies in voter rolls, had prompted notices to multiple senior political and administrative figures in the capital. Election authorities confirmed that upon verification, these individuals' voter registrations have been validated and secured for the updated electoral list.
