The Special Summary Revision (SIR) drive initiated by Delhi's election authorities has yielded significant results, with officials resolving more than 20 lakh cases out of the 33 lakh notices dispatched to voters across the capital. The SIR process, conducted periodically to correct anomalies and update the electoral register, has progressed at an accelerated pace through systematic intervention and voter outreach.
To facilitate the resolution of pending cases and minimize inconvenience to citizens, the election commission has organized special camps where booth-level officers (BLOs) provide on-site assistance to voters. These dedicated facilities enable individuals to address registration issues, submit corrections, and complete necessary documentation without visiting formal election offices.
The election authority has scheduled additional special camps for October 18 and October 25 to handle remaining SIR-related cases. Officials anticipate these sessions will further reduce the backlog of unresolved voter registration discrepancies. Voters with pending notices are being encouraged to attend the nearest camp during the designated dates to complete their electoral verification process.
