Heavy downpour swept through Delhi on Tuesday, inundating key transport corridors and bringing traffic to a crawl across several neighborhoods. The airport approach road was among the worst-affected stretches, with water levels rising to knee height in some sections and forcing commuters to wade through flooded streets.

Motorists and commuters faced extended delays as vehicles moved at a snail's pace through waterlogged areas. An auto-rickshaw was partially submerged in one location, highlighting the severity of the situation on ground level.

The incident underscores the capital's persistent challenges with urban drainage infrastructure during the monsoon season. Authorities have not yet issued statements on relief measures or timeline for clearing the affected areas.

Residents have been advised to exercise caution while traveling and avoid waterlogged routes where possible. Weather forecasts suggest further rainfall in the coming hours, potentially prolonging the disruption.
