Delhi High Court threatens to cancel DUSU elections over campus violence

The Delhi High Court has issued a strong warning that it may annul the Delhi University Student Union (DUSU) elections if the administration and police fail to ensure security and enforce regulations during the voting process.

The court's stern stance came in response to incidents of violence and hooliganism that erupted during the student union elections on September 16. Expressing displeasure at the breach of order, the bench cautioned that such conduct would not be tolerated in future polling operations.

Justices have directed both university authorities and the Delhi Police to take comprehensive measures to prevent any repetition of such disturbances.
