Surveillance video has documented a hit-and-run incident in Delhi involving a vehicle that struck two elderly pedestrians before the driver abandoned the scene within 40 seconds.
The CCTV footage shows the couple, both in their seventies, walking on the left side of the road when they were hit by the SUV. The force of the collision threw both individuals into the air, leaving them on the roadway.
The driver did not stop to render assistance or check on the condition of the victims. Instead, the vehicle remained at the scene for approximately 40 seconds before departing.
