Traffic restrictions will be in place across central Delhi from 10 am to 5 pm on November 1 in connection with the INDIA bloc rally scheduled at Ramlila Maidan, according to Delhi Traffic Police officials. The restrictions are expected to impact vehicular movement in one of the capital's busiest commercial zones.
Traffic diversions will be enforced at multiple intersections including Netaji Subhash Marg T-point, Rajghat, Delhi Gate, ITO A-point, Ajmeri Gate red light, Ranjeet Singh Flyover, Jhandewalan roundabout, Turkman Gate and Mirdard Chowk. The exact diversion points will be adjusted based on real-time traffic conditions throughout the day.
Commuters are likely to experience congestion on several major arterial roads including Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg between ITO and Delhi Gate, Jawaharlal Nehru Marg between Rajghat and Ajmeri Gate, Aruna Asaf Ali Road, Minto Road, Desh Bandhu Gupta Road and Barakhamba Road. Traffic delays are also anticipated around Kamla Market and Hamdard Chowk.
The Delhi Traffic Police will deploy additional personnel across the Central Range to manage vehicular movement, guide commuters to designated parking areas, and prevent congestion in the vicinity of the venue. Authorities have also arranged separate passage routes near the rally location to facilitate smoother traffic flow during the event.
