A survey of hotel booking platforms reveals a pronounced squeeze in room availability across premier properties during September 11-13, with several marquee establishments either fully booked or declining new reservations. The Taj Mahal and Taj Palace in New Delhi show no availability for the critical period, while The Oberoi New Delhi is sold out for portions of the dates. The Leela Palace New Delhi has suspended bookings entirely for the specified timeframe. Available accommodation at properties including ITC Maurya New Delhi and Shangri-La Eros New Delhi is commanding exceptionally elevated rates, with nightly tariffs reaching six figures at select properties, underscoring the premium being placed on lodging in the capital during the summit period. The concentration of the two-day geopolitical event is effectively compressing demand across an extended window, as international visitors arrive ahead of the summit and extend their stays beyond the official dates. This extended booking pattern is placing additional pressure on room inventory in central Delhi's hospitality market, leaving late planners with limited options and significantly higher costs for accommodation during the high-profile international gathering.
