Delhi man arrested after dumping cousin's body in suitcase

Delhi police arrested a man on suspicion of murdering his cousin after discovering her body in a suitcase during a night checking operation in the Burari area. The suspect, identified as Avinash, was apprehended while attempting to dispose of the body in a secluded location.

According to police accounts, Avinash drew the attention of officers during routine night patrol due to suspicious activity. Upon questioning, he allegedly confessed to killing his cousin, a minor, and concealing her body in a suitcase. He was in the process of abandoning the suitcase in a desolate area when police intercepted him.

During interrogation, the suspect told investigators that he harboured suspicions about his cousin's involvement in a romantic relationship, which allegedly motivated him to commit the crime. The body was recovered from the suitcase following the suspect's disclosure of its location.

Police have registered a case and are conducting further investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident. The victim's family has been informed of the development.
