Commuters traveling on Delhi Metro during Diwali festivities on November 8 will need to adjust their journey plans in light of revised timings announced by the transit authority. On all metro lines, the final train will depart from terminal stations at 10 p.m., one hour earlier than the standard closing time of 11 p.m. on regular days.
The Pink, Magenta, and Grey lines will commence morning services an hour ahead of their usual schedule, with first trains departing at 6 a.m. instead of 7 a.m. on the day following Diwali. These adjustments are designed to manage increased passenger volumes during the festival period while allowing for necessary maintenance and operational activities.
Passengers are advised to plan their commutes accordingly and check updated schedules before traveling. The Delhi Metro has encouraged people to use the service's mobile application and website for real-time schedule information and alternative route options during the festive season.
