Delhi Metro to open Peeragarhi interchange linking Green and Magenta lines

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is developing a new interchange station at Peeragarhi that will directly link the Green Line with the Magenta Line's Krishna Park Extension-Deepali Chowk section under Phase 4 expansion. The facility will serve residents of west Delhi neighbourhoods including Peeragarhi Village, Udyog Nagar and Paschim Vihar with improved connectivity between the two corridors.

The interchange will be constructed between the existing Peeragarhi station on the Green Line and the upcoming station on the Magenta Line extension, with both facilities being elevated structures. DMRC officials indicate the interchange is scheduled to open to commuters by the end of 2024.

The new connection will enhance commuter convenience by enabling seamless transfers between the Green Line—which serves areas along the Inderlok-Kirti Nagar and Brig Hoshiar Singh corridor—and the Magenta Line, which provides vital connectivity between western neighbourhoods and the southern and eastern regions of the city via its Botanical Garden-Majlis Park alignment. The project represents a significant step in integrating Delhi's expanding metro network to reduce travel time and improve accessibility across the capital.
