Delhi-NCR ramps up security measures ahead of Dussehra celebrations

Security agencies across Delhi and the National Capital Region have put in place comprehensive measures to manage the anticipated crowds during Dussehra festivities. The deployment includes dedicated personnel assigned to key celebration venues and high-traffic areas to maintain law and order throughout the festival period.

Faridabad, a major city in the NCR, will see the deployment of approximately 1,200 police personnel to oversee the celebrations. These officers will be tasked with crowd management, traffic regulation, and ensuring public safety at prominent gathering points and markets expected to witness heavy footfall during the festival.

In addition to police deployment, authorities have formulated detailed traffic management plans to ease congestion on major routes. The measures are designed to facilitate smooth vehicular movement while allowing residents and visitors to participate in Dussehra festivities without disruption.

The security arrangements underscore the administration's commitment to maintaining order during major festivals, which traditionally attract large numbers of people to markets, religious venues, and public spaces across the region. Officials have urged citizens to cooperate with security personnel and follow prescribed guidelines during the celebrations.
