Delhi Police have arrested a 23-year-old man in connection with a major illicit liquor smuggling operation, recovering a substantial cache of contraband alcohol from a moving vehicle in the city.

During the enforcement action, police intercepted a Hyundai i10 Grand sedan and discovered 3,000 quarters of illicit liquor concealed within 60 cartons. The contraband haul represents a significant seizure in the ongoing crackdown against unlicensed alcohol distribution networks operating within the National Capital Region.

The vehicle used to transport the illicit stock has been seized as part of the investigation. Police said the i10 Grand was being actively used as a mobile distribution point for smuggled liquor, highlighting organized operations in the illegal alcohol trade.

Authorities have registered a case under relevant sections of the Excise Act against the suspect. The arrest comes as part of intensified enforcement efforts by Delhi Police to dismantle networks engaged in smuggling and distribution of contraband liquor in the city.
